Hi! I just wanted to let everyone know that Christina of Christinas Crochet Haven has adapted some of my baby patterns to fit Toddlers. I'll put them in my side bar. The first is an adaptation of the Kellys Sweater, here is her version. This is a version of the pullover.
As you can see I've been working on hats for the last two days. I made the first six yesterday. I used Pound of Love and made and newborn size and a preemie size in each color. That way I don't end up with more of one size.
This batch is from today. I also made a square and knit a hat yesterday.
I feel like I haven't been producing as much as I usually do so I'm trying to work a little harder. I have a sweater done that needs sleeves and a matching hat. The sweater I was working on over the weekend didn't come out right so I have to frog it. Oh well. It happens.
I get my check tomorrow so I'm looking for some yarn to knit myself a pair of Monkey socks. It seems every blog I read someone has just finished or is working on them. I have to jump on this bandwagon. I'll let ya know what I get.
This is my little pumpkin patch in my yard. I'm growing Jack-Be-Little pumkins and decorative gourds. The gourds will grow up the trellises. The gate is to keep out the dog, pumpkins grow on vines and if he went in there he'd walk all over them. I'll take more pictures as they grow. By September you won't be able to see the ground. (hopefully). I planted sunflower seeds along the fence between the trellises, they have already sprouted.
I also wound up a bunch of little cakes out of my Pound of Love stash. It's so much easier than trying to lug around that big ol' skein. I started a sweater using white and pink last night.
And this is my second sweater for the 25 challenge. Sorry I can't share the pattern, someone gave it to me and I modified the bottom half. I couldn't get the lace pattern to work out properly so I just did it in stockinette.

Hi! I've been having fun knitting more little hats. I've been using up leftovers to try and get rid of some of the little bits of yarn I have laying around. I'm using WW to make the newborn size. I'll use up the bits of simply soft and baby yarn to do the preemie hats. They need to be real soft.
I've also been working on more squares for the troop blankets and for Rebuilding Kansas. If your interested just use the links in my sidebar "Loves many cloths" and "Sugar Bunny Blvd".
We made a delivery to Southside Hospital today. My craft room is empty again, so is my baby hamper. Time to start all over again. I've set a goal for myself to make 25 baby sweaters by September 30. My friend Nancy has agreed to do the same. Our fall delivery will be awesome!
I've even made a little chart for myself to keep track of how many sweaters I've done.
What all the little fashionistas will be wearing home this fall.Gracie is wearing the 5 hour baby sweater in Bernat "Outback" Camo. This yarn is so soft and great to work with. I plan on making some more little camo baby outfits. It also comes in "fantasy camo" which has pink in it. My 9yr old neighbor thinks I should make it in the green camo and do a whole outfit (matching pants). I think that is a great idea.
This is the sock I am working on now. The pattern is the Bell Lace Wool-Ease Socks. I'm using wool ease in Blush heather. Its leftover from the Corset T. I really liked doing the lace pattern. This is #1, its taking me awhile to get it done because I don't work on it everyday. If I did I think it would go pretty fast.
I've been knitting hats this weekend. I was inspired by what I saw at Woolwindings.
She's always making the cutest little hats. So here is what I've done...
This is one of her patterns. The preemie spiral hat. This is the 3-5lb. size. I used size 6 needles instead, I also used Bernat softee baby. I'm not sure of the color, it was a leftover ball. I like the way the colors followed the spiral pattern.
This hat is also preemie, you can find the pattern here.
Again I used size 6 needles and pound of love yarn in Lavender. I made the small preemie size. It fits on my 2lb preemie doll. It is a little to small for the hospital I donate to so I will be making it in the largest size and maybe go up to size 8 needles. I really liked making it.
The next two hats I was just fooling around, there are no patterns for them. They are newborn size. The first one is done in leftover Natura One Pounders, the cuff is K3,P1. And the main part is seed stitch. The second is done in Pound of Love …
I've been finishing up hats for this months delivery to Southside. I have to say I'm glad to be done for now. I don't really like crocheting hats but its the quickest way when you need alot in a short amount of time. Tomorrow I'll start washing, bagging and tagging what I've made and get everything packed up and ready to go. I'm a little burned out on baby things so I'm working on some other projects. I'm making squares for the Greenburg Kansas project. These will be made into afghans for families who were devastated by the tornados this past spring. And I belong to Loves Troops Plus, they have started a square drive for soldiers who are injured. They will be made into afghans and sent to wounded soldiers in Germany. After I get a few more squares done I will get back to making baby things. I'm going to get a head start on warm sweaters for next fall and winter. And of course warm hats. I've been collecting some new knit hat patterns so I w…
I've got another dozen hats done so far. Every little bit helps. I crocheted a onsie too since I get tired of working on hats. Not much going on here, it is starting to feel like summer already. I went shopping today and got some bermuda shorts (great way to hide the thighs) and some tank tops. That should get me thru the summer so I can spend my money on better things like yarn. I should never have knit that pair of socks. I can't wait to start another pair but some of the sock yarns are so expensive. And yet soooo pretty. Oh well .... I can always dream.....
